THE AUDIENCE AND THE BROWSER.
For a professional web designer or developer the first thing coming to its head is not about the quality of his website is about the need of the clients and reaching the audience first with that quality work, since you can have the quality work but if you can not satisfy the client and you cannot reach the audience then it is useless.
“ For example if I design a website Template in Adobe photoshop and slice it then put it into dreamweaver and save it has the .html file after putting link it might appear properly in some browsers e.g Google chrome but for other browsers such as Mozilla firefox it will appear distorted unless I put the rollover effects to my links which will cause trouble to my audience so I would like to overcome this”
Now here is where the concept of browser compatibility arose. Has the web designer you have to understand the fact that web browsers such as Internet explorer covers three-quarter of the users of the internet although they have been some mixed review about the software but when you are deploying and testing your website remember to start with it first so that to be sure you can cover the largest audience possible with your website.
Do not forget other browsers such as Mozilla ,chrome ,Opera and others since other audience might be using these web browsers also. But most of the time the type of audience matters if it is website about technology stuffs most of the audience we expect them to be using different kind of browsers at the time since they are exposed in the field of technology.
Otherwise if it is a website about social stuffs such as music and entertainment it is so likely users to be using the type of browser they can access easily so to reach the huge number of audience is very important to select proper web browsers and ensure that you test and deploy your website on all of them to check if your website works properly on all of them so that people they can easily see your work.
